Open Up And Say Raw
You don’t have to live near one of Café Gratitude’s abounding Bay Area eateries to enjoy the indulgence of having their raw, vegan chocolates delivered right to your doorstep. The small box comes complete with two handmade Caramel Cups and two Coconut Fudge Snowballs. But if we were you, we would opt for the larger box — an abundance of pure, unadulterated, superfood decadence. $12/small box, $35/large box, cafegratitudestore.com
Greenest Clean
Megan and Marshall, the eco-genius couple behind Further Soap, decided it was time to go, well… further. So they started carting off waste grease from local LA fine dining haunts and converting it into biofuel in the family garage. They used the byproduct — glycerin — to make hand soap they then sold back to the very same restos that supplied the oil, thereby handily, suds-ily, closing the loop. Their soap smells lovely (with notes of bergamot, exotic grasses and olive), works great, and is biodegradable to boot. $18.50, furthersoap.com
