Free Subscriptions Still Up For Grabs
I picked up your recent issue the other day on my way to work. The cover is amazing — it’s the reason I grabbed it! I saw several ads in the magazine claiming to offer a free 1-year subscription to Common Ground, and I wanted to sign up. How do I find this information? Thanks for your help — great magazine!
— Alyce Kalmar, via email
Ed. reply: Thanks for picking us up, Alyce. To get a copy of Common Ground delivered free to your mailbox every month for a year, click here. By popular demand, the offer’s been extended through the end of this month.
Cover Art Kudos
Steve Levine’s cover photo for your October issue is wonderful. One assumes that, because you give him sole credit, he thought up striping the woman in such an aesthetically magical way. Let me know if I’m wrong.
—Charles Wright, via email
Ed. reply: We’re glad you liked the image, chosen by our creative director Vladi Delsoglio. Photographer Stephen Levine did indeed concept the image he shot, part of a series called “Under The Painted Line.” To see more images in the series, and from the shoot in question, visit steady70.com
Still Lovin’ the New Look
I haven’t picked up your magazine in a long time. Do you have a new art director? It’s looking real good... Keeping it on my shelf a lot longer.

You Can See Clearly Now
I must agree with Joan Pierson of Chicago, who wrote in your August issue that the new typeface was very hard to read. Guess that’s why I’m replying so late; it took this long to read the magazine!
—Joan Kaufman, via email
Ed. reply: Good news, Joan (and everyone else who struggles with the redesigned font): This month marks the introduction of our larger, easier-to-read font size. Ask, and ye shall receive.
