Paths to Intuitive Wisdom and Creative Power

by Susan Saucy

Daydreaming, quiet walks in nature, heeding symbols in night dreams, and meditation — all these exercises awaken the deep sense of knowing called intuition. Without it we may experience a hopeless state of mind, feeling cut off from our mental and spiritual resources.

Pnina Zoharah is a spiritual teacher and healer who guides women and men to rediscover the power of intuition by opening up to their feminine energy and sexuality. Born to Moroccan parents and raised in Israel, Zoharah spent her childhood listening to the constant rhythms of the sea. She retreated to the beach to gather inner strength to cope with family turmoil.

In boarding school, Zoharah discovered a love of biology, history and archeology. She later trained as a tour guide, visiting well-known archeological digs in the eastern Mediterranean. She noted her distinct physical reactions to sites such as the Stations of the Cross where Christ experienced preparation for his final transition. Later psychic training enabled her to make sense of these intuitive connections to the past.

When Zoharah’s mother was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis, mainstream medicine offered no hope for treatment. Through her mother’s illness and death, Zoharah uncovered her path as a healer. She settled in California in 1990 and began studying bodywork and movement with Meir Schneider at his School for Self-Healing in San Francisco. She has since incorporated knowledge from her training at the Berkeley Psychic Institute and the Aesclepion Psychic Institute, along with studies of the Kabbalah and Merkaba meditation, into her practice.

Working on issues of her own sexuality, Zoharah discovered that “my sexual injuries were indications of where I needed to reclaim my sexual power and creativity. This is not necessarily about sex,” she explains, “but about the life force present in sex and other creative activities. Creative energy is located in the second chakra and can be accessed by releasing energy blocks in the body and negativity about one’s own sexuality.”

Having spent years connecting to the earth and finding answers for her own healing, Zoharah now brings her clients to the trees, streams and hills of Marin County. “When you are working with the trees, you realize you are not separate from them; you are made of the same elements,” she says. Her clients commune with the trees whose strong connection to the earth reminds them to connect with their bodies, creativity, and intuitive power. Nature helps awaken the art of deep listening. She also uses movement, dance, bodywork, and emotional processing as part of her practice.

Pnina Zoharah offers workshops, intuitive readings, individual sessions, nature walks and rituals for men and women.
